Gig Harbor and Tacoma are approximately 20-30 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which has daily service to most major airports throughout the country.

Transportation

We will have shuttle bus transportation will be available from the Wesley Inn to and from the venue on the wedding day. The shuttle will run multiple times throughout the night to and from the venue.

For those of you looking to explore the greater Seattle area, we recommend booking a rental car for your trip. It is possible to get around without one, but as our wedding is happening outside of Seattle, public transit and Ubers will not be as readily available as they are in Seattle.

For those driving, there is a $6 toll for those heading from Gig harbor to Tacoma on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

Parking Info

Plenty of parking will be available onsite at the venue for those choosing to drive to the ceremony/reception.

Guide to Local Golf Courses

My neighbor put together a local golf guide to help guests select golf courses. He also can help get you on a few private golf courses, please contact us and we can put you in touch directly with him or view the information below. Organized by location

Chambers Bay - 2.31 Miles - Home of the 2015 US Open. There are open tee times before/after the wedding but it is all booked on the weekend and on Monday. This is a very accessible public golf course so if you'd just like to see it and not play it, you can walk the 3.1 mile loop around the golf course that is open all day long.

Oak Brook Country Club - 2.86 miles - Semi-Private - $50-$60. Great greens & excellent course.

Allenmore Golf Course - 3.41 miles - $25-$30 - Very playable course

Meadow Park Golf - 3.41 miles - $20-$30. Very short course. Can get a very good score at this golf course. This is was Sarah's home course 50% of the time when she played golf for Charles Wright Academy.

Madrona Links - 5.89 miles - $25. Fun course one of the shortest in the state. You can drive a few of the holes. Good round for beginning golfer.

Whispering Firs- On McChord Air Force Base - 7.71 miles - $35. Very nice course. Only problem a lot of stuff to do to be able to get on base. Good if you are retired military.

Lake Spanaway - 9.68 miles - $30. One of the most playable and fun golf courses in the area. Our traditional course & fun to play.

Brookdale - 9.7 miles - $30. Short course not well maintained but a good course.

Fort Lewis Golf Course - 9.76 miles - $30 - Not difficult to get on totally public great course and fun to play relatively long but very fair.

Vicwood Golf Course - 13.83 miles - $35. Very playable fair golf course. Well worth the 14 mile drive.

Indian Summer Golf Course - 21.49 miles - $75. Private course. Rated one of the most difficult. Great course. My neighbor (who put together this list) has been a member for 25 years. He can bring several groups on.

Gold Mountain - 21.88 miles. Had 2 golf courses the cascade course $40 is a traditional course a challenge for the average golfer. The second course is the Olympic ($50) For $10 more a very great test of your golf skills. I highly recommend the Olympic course.
